Alix Claps is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.  Her primary focus is theatre law.  She holds a Bachelor of Theatre Arts from the University of Michigan, a Master of Arts with a focus in Dramatic Literature from DePaul University, and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law - Newark.

Alix began her professional life as a stage manager, mostly doing Musical Theatre.  She worked at various regional theatres, including Music Theatre Wichita, Ogunquit Playhouse, and Theatre by the Sea.  Alix went on to act as Production Stage Manager and then Production Manager for NYU Steinhardt's Programs in Vocal Performance, Educational Theatre, and Drama Therapy.

After graduating from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Edith Payne and the Honorable Christine A. Farrington in the Civil Division of Essex County Superior Court.
